Los reclutadores de empresas en Estados Unidos y en el resto del mundo que contratan Product Managers remotos buscan, ante todo, evidencia clara de decisiones de producto y de su impacto medido. Quieren ver qué lanzaste, para qué usuarios, qué métrica mejoró y qué herramientas usaste (por ejemplo Jira, SQL, Amplitude o Figma). Tambien esperan leer el título del puesto en inglés de mercado (Junior, Mid-level, Senior Product Manager) y los años de experiencia de forma explícita, sin rodeos. Un CV local suele describir funciones generales y responsabilidades; el CV para el mercado global debe convertir cada responsabilidad en un resultado con número, alcance y contexto.
En la práctica, eso significa cambiar tres cosas. Primero, el formato: una página, en inglés de negocios, sin foto ni datos personales innecesarios como estado civil o número de documento. Segundo, el lenguaje: verbo al inicio, sin 'yo', en tiempo presente para el puesto actual y pasado para los anteriores. Tercero, la claridad de requisitos: si tienes una habilidad o herramienta que la oferta pide, debe aparecer nombrada explícitamente dentro de un rol concreto, porque los sistemas de selección automática y los reclutadores no infieren competencias.
Qué tiene que aparecer en tu CV
- Your current or most recent title in market English (for example, Senior Product Manager) and total years of product management experience stated explicitly in the summary.
- At least one measurable outcome per recent role, such as a metric you moved, the revenue or retention impact, or the number of users affected.
- The exact names of the tools the job posting asks for, such as Jira, SQL, Amplitude or Figma, written once in the context of a role where you actually used them.
- A clear line on your English level with the CEFR rating and a proof, such as a certificate or a recent work history in English.
- Your work availability and contract model for remote work abroad, for example independent contractor or employment through an Employer of Record (EOR) such as Deel.

Errores comunes en Latinoamérica
- Writing a title in Spanish or a literal translation, like 'Gerente de Producto'; use the market title 'Product Manager' or 'Senior Product Manager' instead.
- Listing duties ('Responsible for the product roadmap') without results; rewrite each duty as an outcome with a number, such as 'Grew activation from 31% to 44% in two quarters'.
- Including Brazilian or local tax and legal acronyms, or unclear degree names; write the degree in English, for example 'B.S. in Computer Engineering' or 'Postgraduate specialization in Product Management'.
- Using vague adjectives like 'results-driven' or 'proven track record' that recruiters skip; replace them with specific facts about scope, team size and metrics.
- Leaving out your time zone and availability; state your location, UTC offset and overlap hours with US Eastern or Central time so recruiters know you can join their meetings.
